No heavy scrubbing needed.

How to remove deodorant stains dry clean only. Dilute the vinegar by mixing it with the water. Just use some brisk wrist action. You need it gone and you need it gone now.

Continue to blot with a clean white cloth. Let the fabric absorb the vinegar for about 10 minutes and then run it through a warm wash followed by an air dry treatment. Next pour cold water or soda water over the spot you are trying to clean.

Place the stained area of the garment in the diluted vinegar and let soak for at least 30 minutes. Rub the deodorant residue stripes and smudges with a pair of pantyhose or knee-highs. Begin by blotting the stain with a clean soft cloth to remove as much of the liquid as possible.

Many stains are removable while theyre fresh or havent been worked on. As you are blotting you will notice the stain transferring to the cloth. One of the best ways to remove deodorant stains is to begin by soaking your garment in white vinegar.

Do not go overboard by scrubbing the stain with a soaking wet towel which will only make the color run says Onkar Bali of Ballys Cleaners in Palm Desert California. Rinse the vinegar out of the fabric with water. Fabrics other than wool and silk that are dry clean only can also be gently washed and air dried if needed.

If the stain is not removed this way prepare a solution of equal parts of vinegar and clear dish soap. Apply the appropriate cleaner with a cotton ball cotton swab or soft cloth depending on the size of the stain. This is an ideal solution for both white and colorful clothing.

If you get deodorant on your clothing as you are rushing out the door you dont have time to soak it in vinegar or make a baking soda paste. Using the soapy area of the washcloth gently rub the stained areas until the deodorant is no longer visible. It may take several applications to remove all of the stains.

You may want to wrap a thin fabric like cheesecloth over the vacuum hose to vacuum the area afterward to remove any residue from the cleaning solution. Grab a piece of foam rubber from a dry cleaning hanger and rub out the evidence. Alternatively rub the area of your shirt with a soapy cloth then soak the cloth under clean water and wipe any soap away.

Start by spacing the stained part of your fabric on the absorbent white cloth or towel or simply hold it under a sink. To remove a deodorant stain from your clothes rub it with a dryer sheet or a pair of nylons if you cant find one. Some stains are permanent and the only method of removal is to strip the color and redye the area or a patchplug.

Let the item soak for 45 to 60 minutes and then gently brush the stain with a textured cloth or old toothbrush. For fresh deodorant stains grab a sock nylons or used dryer sheet. Erase all traces of deodorant with a new or used fabric dryer sheet by rubbing with quick short strokes.

Remove from the vinegar solution and gently rub the stain to remove any of the stains that remain. Once the stain has been removed rinse and wring out the washcloth. Launder the item as you normally would using hot water.
